The annual industry meeting for the aerospace community took place this year in Augsburg under the motto Accelerate and Innovate. MIMplus took part in the accompanying specialist exhibition. Very good contacts were made here. The aviation industry continues to develop positively. The order backlog at Airbus (civil aviation A 220 to A 350) is at a record high of 8,600 aircraft. In 2023, 735 aircraft were delivered, which is still below the “reference year” of 2019 (863 deliveries), but the trend continues to rise. In addition to urban aviation, the dominant topic is sustainability – essentially SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel).
